Thane: 'Our government' running the center without a manager

Anjali

Thane: The 'Apne Sarkar' service centers started by the state government in every gram panchayat for the implementation of various schemes of the government, various documents and online work of the gram panchayat have been running without a manager for the last ten days. In the new order issued by the government, the post of manager has been canceled. The employees have not been paid salary for the last couple of months.

The managers were helping to solve thetechnical problemsin the center. But since the center is being run without a manager, the headache of the center operators while solving the technical problems there has increased and it is affecting the civic facilities.
The state government has started its government service center in every gram panchayat of the district to ensure that important documents like domicile and nationality certificate, birth, death and caste certificate, income certificate, senior citizen certificate and necessary documents like identity card, certificate are available to the citizens at affordable prices and the information of various government schemes is easily available to the citizens. A district manager, five taluk managers, a technical assistant at the taluk level and a centre director were appointed for each centre.

Their job was to coordinate with the centre operators and resolve technical issues. As per a government decision issued on June 9, the posts of district and taluka centre managers have been abolished. But all these people were trying to cancel this government order and appoint a manager. He was working as a manager at the centre. However, they have not received their salaries for the last couple of months. Due to this protest, technical problems have started in the work of the center. To solve these technical problems, the district or taluka manager used to get help. But now that these posts are vacant, the sarpanch, the gram sevak and the center director of our government service center are not able to solve some technical problems. This has affected the functioning of Gram Panchayats and civic amenities.
What's the problems?
Registration is not available to citizens from the 'Service Portal'. The centre operators have not yet been trained on the changes in some websites, the payment of the 15th Finance Commission of e-GramSwaraj has been stopped. The salaries of the employees have been stopped and their attendance is not being recorded.

Demand for remuneration
In the villages where the population is more than five thousand, there is an 'Aapla Sarkar' service center in the gram panchayat. There are 432 gram panchayats in the district. District Manager Pradeep Patil said that a memorandum has been submitted to Deputy Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad Pramod Kale to include the posts of District and Taluka Managers in these centers.
