A 71-year-old woman in France was drugged and raped by her own husband in front of hundreds of people. It has been 10 years since the heinous crime took place. After the case went to court, the husband confessed to the crime. He also admitted to using his wife as a toy.
Gisele Pellicot, a 72-year-old woman from the southern French city of Avignon, has spoken to the media. Her husband, 71-year-old Dominic Pelicot, drugged and raped her for 10 years. It has been claimed that the victim's wife was raped about 100 times in 10 years. She also took thousands of photos and videos of the incident and saved them on her laptop. This information has been revealed in a police investigation.
According to The Independent, victim Gisele Pellicott said the men (her husband and others) "used me as a doll." I was treated like garbage. I don't think I know anymore. I don't know if I can get out of it. It's all over for me. The scenes of rape and brutality are etched in my mind.
Not only this, the victim Giselle has also said that she was raped by an HIV patient. The New York Post published one of Gisele's responses to the court. "When my life was in danger, not one of the abusers thought for a second and stopped it," she said. I was infected with HIV because an HIV-positive man raped me six times. The abuse took place over a period of 10 years from 2011 to 2020.
The police rescued Giselle.
"The police pulled me out of this vicious circle," Giselle said. In November 2020, Gisele's husband secretly filmed a woman in a supermarket. After arresting him, the police checked the computer of the house and found a video of the assault on Giselle. Then it all came out.
"When I saw the video and the photos, I was devastated," Gisele told the court. My whole life has been ruined. I'm afraid of losing everything I've gained in 50 years. And that's a terrible thing for me. While Giselle was speaking in the court, her husband was listening to everything with his head down in shame.
This was an atrocity
According to the police, the accused used to put sleeping pills in his wife's food or wine. After that, he used to contact some people through online chatrooms and call people to rape his wife. A case has been registered against 50 people, aged between 26 and 74, including her husband Dominic.
According to the Telegraph, the accused husband Dominic and 14 others have confessed to the rape. Another 35 people were injured. They claimed that the woman had consented to the sexual act.
