Dombivli – Kalyan, Dombivli towns in Dombivli towns are in progress of excavating old ponds, well development works, new housing projects. Now the road construction contractor is making vigorous efforts to drain an old lake with natural springs in the Kopar area of Dombivli West. In any case, the environmentalists have started a strong movement at the government level so that the old lake at Kopar, which has a natural spring, should not be drained.

Kalyan, Dombivli municipality limits main roads of the city, shade trees in the area road widening, developers who set up some housing projects were cut down with the permission of the municipality. In exchange of these trees, these developers have planted 10 trees in place of one tree at the place in Ambivali area fixed by the municipality.

Many buildings and houses of 40 years ago had old wells. Kalyan, Dombivli has a picture of these wells being buried by developers in the name of development. Environmentalists are criticizing that a system is working to harm the environment by extinguishing natural resources.
