The politics of Maharashtra.
The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the induction of Ajit Pawar into the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). He was also criticised by the party. The BJP is trying to stop Ajit Pawar in his home turf.

Ajit Pawar's decision to join hands with the BJP has hurt the party's image. The BJP suffered a setback in the Lok Sabha polls, a Sangh organiser said while analysing the defeat. Since then, the BJP has been on the offensive.

The meeting is being attended by senior BJP leaders. A special strategy is being planned for Pune, the stronghold of Ajit Pawar. The BJP's strategy is that the Ajit Pawar group should leave the rural constituencies in Pune and contest the urban seats. The party has almost finalised the formula for this. Seats will be allotted accordingly.

The BJP is contesting on all seats in Pune district. If that happens, two of Ajit Pawar's sitting MLAs could be poached.
The BJP is likely to field Sunil Tingre, an MLA from Wadgaonsheri, and Chetan Tupe, an MLA from Hadapsar.

Asha Buchake had protested against Ajit Pawar in Junnar.
BJP leaders in Pune have been demanding that Ajit Pawar's group be stopped.

"We will give more seats to Ajit Pawar's NCP in rural areas of Pune and keep our seats in the city.
It is reported that Pune leaders have been told by the leadership that the seat allocation will be done in this way.
