In Pimpri-Nehru nagar, the Municipal Corporation has enhanced the Animal Shelter House to accommodate both strays and pets. The animal nursing center now includes an incinerator specifically for dogs. Previously, larger animals had to be transported to Pune for cremation, but now, incinerators for large animals have been made available within the city.
These incinerators are equipped with a combustion machine, and the duration of cremation is based on the animal's weight. The veterinary department has stated that larger animals can be cremated within approximately three hours.
