The police have arrested two in the case. Tejas alias Bablu Dingbar Shinde (29), Deepak Ram More (48), both residents of Ra. Those arrested have been identified as Indiranagar, Chinchwad, behind DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel.(Pune Pimpri Chinchwad Crime News)
Nagesh Babu Rathod (38) A complaint has been lodged at the Indiranagar police station. The incident took place in Sambhaji Nagar area of Chinchwad.
According to the police, the accused and the victim live in the same neighbourhood. The SRA scheme is running in Indiranagar, where he lives.
The accused believed that the complainant was obstructing Deepak More's sister from getting a house.
When the accused met the complainant near Sai Udyan, the complainant asked him to return the money.
Angered by this and the SRA scheme, More kept the complaint under wraps.
Tejas Shinde tried to stab the complainant in the head with a sickle.
The accused then hit him on his head and three times on his back.
Rathod was seriously injured in the attack.
The two men then waved their weapons in the air, creating panic among the crowd.
A Deputy Superintendent of Police is investigating.
