Indian Army officer Vaibhav Kale, who had recently joined the United Nations in Gaza as a Security Services Coordinator, tragically lost his life in an attack while in route to the hospital from the Rafah area. The United Nations has denounced the incident and called for a through investigation.
Kale, who had served in various missions including in Siachen Glacier, Drass, and Congo, will be cremated in Pune, his place of residence. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has strongly condemned the attack and called for an inquiry into the matter.
