Vasai: After the rape of a student, angry parents march to the school, many girls are accused of sexual abuse

A 14-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by a teacher at Yadav Vikas Vidyalaya in Nalasopara.

Vasai: A 14-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by a teacher at a government school in Nalasopara. On Tuesday, angry parents protested outside the school, demanding the closure of the school. The victim's brother has alleged that many girls, including teachers, were sexually abused in the school.

Yadavesh Vikas English School is located in Santosh Bhuvan, Nalasopara East. The accused, Amit Dubey (30), is a teacher at the school. He also takes private tutoring classes called Ujjwala at Valaipada. Dubey allegedly sexually assaulted a 14-year-old student of the school for five months. He used to threaten the victim and rape her in school and classroom. The accused teacher, Amit Dubey, has been arrested. Following the incident, angry parents staged a protest outside the school demanding immediate closure of the school. The girl's parents alleged that the school manager, despite being told by the victim that she was being harassed by the accused teacher, ignored them and asked the victim to keep quiet.


Allegations of sexual abuse of several girls
The victim's brother has levelled serious allegations against the school management. He alleged that 20 to 25 girls were sexually abused in the school. The teacher of the school was also a victim of this abuse and she left the school, he said. My sister fell unconscious in the school but the school suppressed the incident and supported the accused. They also demanded the closure of the school and action against the principal. The Pelhap police have booked the accused, Amit Dubey, under Sections 64 (2) (f) 65 (1) of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 4 and 5 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. A case has been registered under Sections 8 and 12 of the IPC. There is tension in the area and police are keeping a close watch.
