What really happened?
The video is from the hostel of Bahra University in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. One of the students has taken a video of the senior students thrashing the student as they were angry that the junior students were not doing as they say. The victim has been identified as Rajat, Minton said in a statement. The student was taken to a hostel room by two of his friends. All the other students were there. He was forced to drink alcohol. When he refused, he was beaten up with sticks.

In the video, the student sitting next to Rajat is seen repeatedly hitting him under the ear. Another student was also beaten up. The whole night was spent in that room. He also asked Rajat to stand as a rooster.
