The Bareilly Development Authority (BDA) demolished five illegal colonies at Dhaurera Mafi and Khajuria Ghat on Saturday. Colonizers had purchased inexpensive land from farmers and were constructing colonies without proper approval. The BDA team used bulldozers to demolish the unauthorized constructions, causing panic among the colonizers.
BDA Vice President Manikandan A reported that illegal colonies were being built on 20 bigha land by Dheer Singh, Rakesh, Arjun, Veerpal Patel, and Mahmood Khan at Dhaurera Mafi, and by Netrapal Vakil, Subodh Sharma, and Ravi Patel at Khajuria Ghat. The unauthorized constructions included roads, drains, site offices, and marked plots. The BDA team took demolition action against these activities.
Additionally, on May 22, the BDA demolished five illegal colonies being built on 78 bighas of land near Jhumka intersection behind Delhi Public School. Similar unauthorized construction activities were observed, leading to the demolition of roads, drains, site offices, and marked plots by the BDA team using bulldozers.
