4.7- magnitude earthquake jolts Turkey

Istanbul : A 4.7- magnitude earthquake has jolted Turkey’s northwestern fiefdom of Canakkale, according to the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency( AFAD). The earthquake, being at 5:39p.m. original time, centred Ezine quarter, AFAD said on Monday on social media platform X. “ presently, there are no adverse conditions reported.

We're assessing each report entered by the exigency Call Centre, ” said Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya on X, pressing that field check operations are continuing as reported by Xinhua news agency. The earthquake was also felt in Istanbul, the country’s largest megacity, according to press reports.
