As the work of the bridge over the Indrayani river in Mauje Karla between Ekvira Devi Paytha to Karla Temple to Karla Malavali in Maval taluka is underway, the district collector has issued an order to close this road for all types of traffic from July 30 to August 28 for the safety of the citizens.
All traffic coming from Mauje Karla village towards Malavali-Baje village and Mauje Malavali-Sadapur via Vaksai Phata will be diverted towards Mauje Karla-Vaksai Phata-Sadapur road towards Malavali and Bhajegaon. The entry of four-wheelers coming for tourism in Mauje Kusgaon-Aundhe-Malavali will be closed and single transport will be made in Malavali-Aundhe-Kusgaon. For the four wheelers of the tourists in the waterfall and Malavali of Mauje Bhaje, the old highway should use the alternative route Mauje Vaksai Phata-Sadapur-Malavali-Baje.
To go to Mauje Pathargaon - Borj - Malavali village one has to take a single transport. Vehicles from Mauje Malavali will come via Pune-Mumbai expressway via Deole and Malavali-Aundhe-Kusgaon-Lonavala old highway.
A single transport is being made to go from Mauje Bhate to Lohgarh. Four-wheelers going from Mauje-Lohgarh to Pune-Mumbai should take the Pune-Mumbai and Mumbai-Pune expressways via Lohgarh-Dudhivre Pass-Aundholi-Aundh or take the new Pune-Mumbai and Mumbai-Pune routes via Lohgarh-Dudhivre Pass-Pawananagar.
Two-wheelers and three-wheelers going from Lohgarh to Mumbai or Pune will use the old Mumbai-Pune route from Kusgaon-Lonavala via Lohgarh-Dudhivre Pass-Aundholi-Aundh-Aundh Bridge. During this period, the entry of heavy vehicles on the old Pune-Mumbai highway from Karla Phata to Vehergaon will be closed, the order said.
