The game, held at the Eden Gardens, witnessed an extraordinary display of batting prowess from the Indian team, who set a new record by scoring 297 runs, the second-highest team total in T20 history. Winning the toss and opting to bat first proved to be a masterstroke for India. Sanju Samson led the charge with a magnificent century, scoring 111 runs, while captain Suryakumar Yadav contributed a solid 75.

The duo's remarkable partnership of 173 runs not only propelled India’s score but also highlighted their synergy on the field. Following the resounding victory, captain Suryakumar Yadav made a significant statement, emphasizing the importance of teamwork. "As a team, we have achieved a lot. I want selfless cricketers in this team. As Hardik said, we want to enjoy each other's success on and off the field," he stated. Yadav reiterated a key philosophy that has guided the team: “No one is bigger than the team.” He reflected on the collective effort, acknowledging contributions from all players.

"Whether you are playing 99 or 49, if you want to hit the ball and send it over the boundary, you have to go for that shot. That is exactly what Sanju did, and I am very happy for him," Yadav remarked. He praised the overall performance of his teammates and stressed the importance of consistency moving forward. The bowling department also shone brightly, with fast bowler Mayank Yadav taking two wickets for 32 runs and spinner Ravi Bishnoi claiming three wickets for 30 runs, achieving a milestone of 50 wickets in T20 cricket in the process. Bangladesh's effort was led by Tauheed Hriday, who scored 63 off 42 balls, and Liton Das, who added 42 off 25 balls, but fell short as the rest of the batting lineup struggled to make an impact.

India's remarkable score surpassed Afghanistan's previous record of 278 runs against Ireland in 2019, coming just shy of Nepal's world record of 314 runs in T20 cricket. With this series victory under their belts, the Indian team looks forward to maintaining their impressive performance as they continue their cricketing journey.
