Jaishankar : Agreed to redouble sweats after addresses with China’s Wang Yi

Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Chinese counterpart Wang Yi on Thursday agreed to redouble sweats through politic and military channels to resolve the remaining border issues in eastern Ladakh during a meeting.

In the addresses held on the sidelines of the peak of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) in this Kazakh capital, Jaishankar conveyed to Wang that esteeming the Line of factual Control (LAC) and icing peace and tranquillity in the border areas is essential. The external affairs minister also reaffirmed India’s patient view that the ties between the two sides must be grounded on collective respect, collective interest and collective perceptivity.

The Jaishankar- Wang addresses came amid the dragging border row in eastern Ladakh that entered its fifth time in May. “ Met with CPC Politburo member and FM Wang Yi in Astana. Bandied early resolution of remaining issues in border areas.
