Market Yard: Thieves from Uttar Pradesh arrested with Rs 12 lakh in cash

Thieves broke into a house in Sandesh society in Market Yard and stole gold ornaments weighing 290 grams, silver ornaments, Rs 25,000 cash and Rs 14,58,100 in cash from the almirah. Deputy superintendent of police, Vinayak Gaikwad, visited the spot. Two robbers were arrested. On examination, it was found that one of them was Sidhu Rajput. A total of 11 cases were registered against him in Mumbai and Pune.

He had fled to Pune. The police traced his address. Police sub-inspector Sunil Bhapkar, who is in charge of the investigation team, and his associates went to Uttar Pradesh and took him into custody. When questioned about the items in the burglary, he said they were in the possession of his accomplice Anikumar Balli.
