In a recent social media update, Nawab Malik, a prominent NCP MLA and former minister, has addressed the swirling rumors regarding the health of his son-in-law, Sameer Khan. Khan was seriously injured in a car accident on September 18 and has been undergoing treatment ever since. The accident, which occurred in the Kurla area, took place as Sameer Khan and his wife, Nilofar, were returning from a routine checkup at Kriti Care Hospital. After leaving the hospital, Khan requested the driver to bring their Thar vehicle. In a tragic turn of events, the driver accidentally pressed the accelerator instead of the brake, resulting in the vehicle striking Sameer Khan and inflicting severe head injuries.
He was immediately rushed to the hospital and later admitted to the ICU, while Nilofar sustained an injury to her hand. Since the incident, Sameer Khan's health condition has fluctuated, leading to widespread concern among his family and friends. On the night of October 12, unverified reports of Khan's death began circulating on social media, prompting Nawab Malik to clarify the situation. Taking to X, he stated, “Some wrong information is being spread about my son-in-law's health. I want to make it clear that while his condition was critical yesterday, he is now feeling better.
Please refrain from spreading rumors and pray for their health. Thank you for your support.” Despite the improvement in his condition, Sameer Khan remains under close medical supervision as he continues to recover from the head injury and facial trauma sustained during the accident. The driver, identified as Abul Anyari, has since been charged in connection with the incident, which also involved damage to nearby property and other vehicles. The police from Vinoba Bhave Police Station are actively investigating the incident as the family grapples with the emotional toll of the accident. Nawab Malik's call for support and prayers during this difficult time highlights the importance of accurate information and the impact of misinformation on families facing medical crises.
