Orange alert issued for Pune district as heavy rains continue

Pune has been receiving heavy rains over the last few days. The meteorological department has warned that there will be intense rainfall for two more days. The meteorological forecast more rain in the city.

The catchment areas of Panshet, Varasgaon, Temghar and Khadakwasla dams have been receiving heavy rainfall since last night. As a result, the water level have increased in the reservoir. On July 2, the storage in Khadakwasla dam was 4.55 TMC. It has been reported that it has increased to 10.12 tmc by 5 pm on Sunday.
