Pimpri Chinchwad cyber police urges citizens not to open PDF files

Cyber crime cases are increasing day by day in Pimpri Chinchwad. Cyber criminals are trying to dupe people through various means. The accused are currently searching for the new accused. In this, a PDF file is being sent and when this file is opened by the concerned citizen, his bank account is being emptied. After opening the PDF file, the amount is transferred from the bank account to another unknown account.

Cybercriminals are using the name and logo of Union Bank of India to cheat citizens. Citizens are being asked to update their Aadhaar card, PAN card by contacting from different mobile numbers. For this, a file named Union Bank Addhar Update61.apk is being sent to the citizens.


Through this file, the Torzon virus is being sent to the mobile phones of the citizens through which the personal information of the citizens is being misused and the citizens are being cheated and harmed. Therefore, the Pimpri Chinchwad Cyber Cell has appealed not to click on any link, website or file from an unknown mobile number.

Cheating woman

Sangvi: A woman was sent a PDF file on WhatsApp of her mobile number. After the woman opened the file, Rs 45,000 was transferred from her bank account to a stranger's bank account. The incident took place on July 14. The woman has lodged a complaint at the police station.
