Pune: The water level in Pune reservoir increased following heavy rainfall in the city. In the last 24 hours, 1.45 TMC of water has been collected in the Khadakwasla Dam Reservoir, which supplies water to the city. This is enough water to last for a month. The water storage in the Khadakwasla project is 10.12 tmc.
The water level in Panshet, Varasgaon, Temghar and Khadakwasla dams has come down to 3.50 tmcft. Notably, on July 2, the water storage in the Khadakwasla dam project was 4.55 TMC.
On July 7, the water storage level at the Khadakwasla dam was 6.50 TMC. Then the rain came down. However, there has been heavy rainfall at isolated places since Friday. Heavy rains have fallen on the area over the past few days. At 5 pm on Saturday, there was 8.67 TMC of water in the Khadakwasla project. There was heavy rain in the catchment areas of the dam.
As of 5pm on Sunday, the Khadakwasla project has received 10.12 tmc of water. As a result, the water storage in the project has increased by 1.45 TMC in the last 24 hours. The 10.12 -litre reservoir will provide water to the city for seven-and-a-half months.

The storage on this day last year was 8.34 tmcft.
However, on this date, i.e. July 14, the water storage in the project has become 10.12 TMC.
This is 1.45 tmc more than last year.
