Pune : A shocking incident has come to light from Pune's Zilla Parishad School. As many as 214 schools have registered zero per cent results. The examination is conducted by the state government for the students of class 5th and 8th. Recently, the results of the fifth grade scholarship examination have been announced and more than 200 schools have received pumpkins in this examination. With this, the education department has taken action against the erring teachers.
As many as 214 schools of the Pune Zilla Parishad (ZP) have secured zero per cent results in the scholarship examination conducted for boys and girls of Class V. There has been a lot of anger in the education department regarding this result and it has come to light that serious action has been taken against the concerned teachers.
It is the responsibility of the teachers to prepare and motivate the students for the scholarship examination conducted by the state government. But the teachers didn't do that. A notice has also been issued to the teachers in this regard. They have also been warned to withhold the salary hike of the concerned if satisfactory explanation is not received.
There are 3,621 Zilla Parishad schools in Pune district. Of these, 932 schools are in the fifth grade. The students of these schools were required to participate in the scholarship examination.
