Amravati – A shocking crime has unfolded in the Badnera railway station area, where a woman was brutally murdered by her husband in a fit of rage after witnessing her in a compromising situation with another man. The incident has left the local community in disbelief and has raised questions about domestic violence and relationship dynamics. The accused, identified as Laxman Man Singh Maravi, 35, from Ohni, District Mandla, Madhya Pradesh, has been arrested by the police after a thorough investigation. The police had initially detained another individual, Shekhar alias Chandrasekhar Chincholkar, 34, who was present at the scene.

However, it was Maravi who ultimately confessed to the crime. The tragic events began when Laxman and his wife, Bhagwati, arrived at Badnera railway station in search of work. After meeting Shekhar, who offered to help them find employment, the situation took a dark turn. Shekhar invited the couple to his home, but Laxman declined, leading them to settle near the railway station instead. As night fell, the trio consumed alcohol brought by Shekhar. However, things escalated when Laxman awoke to find his wife and Shekhar in what he perceived as an inappropriate position.

In a fit of rage and jealousy, Laxman confronted his wife, resulting in a fierce altercation. Eyewitness reports suggest that he struck Bhagwati multiple times, including a fatal blow to her head with a brick. After the violent confrontation, Shekhar fled the scene, leaving Laxman beside his injured wife. When he awoke the next morning, he discovered Bhagwati unresponsive and lifeless. In a panic, he covered her body with a blanket, fled the area, and returned to his hometown via train.

The police were alerted when the body was discovered near a water tank close to the old settlement of Badnera railway station. A postmortem confirmed that the woman died from severe head injuries, leading investigators to classify the case as murder. Laxman Maravi was eventually apprehended at his village, where he confessed to the heinous act. The police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this tragic case, shedding light on the dangers of jealousy and domestic violence that can lead to such devastating outcomes. This incident has sparked conversations about the need for awareness and prevention of domestic abuse, urging communities to take a stand against violence in relationships. The local authorities have promised to take necessary steps to ensure justice is served for Bhagwati and to provide support for those affected by similar issues.
