Kodagu, Karnataka – In a disturbing turn of events, the police have arrested a woman and her two accomplices for the brutal murder of her husband, a businessman from Telangana, over an eight-crore property. The shocking case came to light when the man’s partially burnt body was discovered in the coffee estate area of Kodagu district on October 8. The victim, identified as 54-year-old Ramesh, was reported missing before the police found his remains. Following a thorough investigation, authorities traced the crime back to Ramesh's second wife, Niharika, and her accomplices, Dr. Nikhil Rana and Ankur Rana, all residents of Bangalore. Police began their investigation after discovering the body, forming four teams to unravel the mystery surrounding Ramesh's death.

Extensive reviews of CCTV footage revealed a trail leading to Madikeri and surrounding areas, where a red Benz belonging to the victim was also reported missing. As the investigation progressed, officers unearthed information regarding Niharika’s tumultuous background and her motive for the crime. After enduring a troubled marriage for 29 years and facing financial struggles after her father’s death, Niharika plotted to eliminate her husband in a bid to seize his wealth. According to police reports, on October 1, Niharika strangled Ramesh to death with the assistance of Ankur before transporting his body over 840 kilometers in a desperate attempt to cremate it in a remote coffee estate.

Unfortunately for her, her plans unraveled as law enforcement pieced together the evidence against her and her partners in crime. The shocking details of this case have sent ripples through the community, raising questions about domestic relationships and the extremes one might go to for financial gain. The investigation continues as authorities gather more information about the circumstances leading up to the murder and the broader implications of such a heinous act. The three accused are currently in police custody, and further legal proceedings are expected in the coming days as the investigation continues.
