Sindhudurg Crime News : Police officer duped of job

A case has been registered against Sandeep Gurav at the Sindhudurg Nagari police station for allegedly cheating a police officer of lakhs of rupees by promising him a job in the force.

The complainant is a retired employee of Excise Department and was on duty at Patradevi check post in the month of December / 2022. Gurpreet Singh, P.S. By doing so, he took the family information of the complainant and took a total of Rs 16,47,000 / - in cash and cheques from the complainant from time to time and at different places by luring the complainant's son to a job in the post of police constable.


Later, when the complainant asked the accused about the job, the accused kept avoiding the complainant by giving different reasons. Meanwhile, the complainant Mahe was arrested in July 2024 at Police Station, Khadki (Dist. The photo and name of the accused in the case registered in Pune, Sandeep Gurav, were seen in the news about the arrest. Based on his complaint, a case has been registered and further investigation is underway.

In the ongoing police recruitment in Sindhudurg District Police Force, if any person from the police force or from outside demands money / bribe by promising to help or select a candidate in the recruitment, then the candidate should not fall prey to it and complain about it to the Superintendent of Police, Sindhudurg and Anti-Corruption Bureau through telephone or in person.
