The Swargate police have registered a case against Sadashiv Dhaware, Rahul Khude and DJ driver of the event Sahityaratna Annabhau Sathe Jayanti Utsav 2024. The DJ's sound was 108.3 dB.
A complaint has been lodged with Sagar city police station in this regard. The Swargate police had instructed the troupes to limit the sound boxes and limit the noise during the festival by holding meetings from time to time. In the procession presided over by Sadashiv Dhaware, songs were played in deafening sound using DJ sound. When the police asked them to lower their voice, they refused. The police measured the sound intensity of the DJ with the help of a noise level meter machine at 6.30 pm. It was 108.3 dB. A case has been registered against the chairman of this board and others for violating the noise pollution limit. Police sub-inspector Poonam Patil is investigating the case.
