Work on Mumbai-Nashik-Mumbai highway should be completed immediately : Eknath Shinde

Thane, Dy. 09: 'Leo Polymer Technology 'is a long-lasting technology for cleaning potholes on the Mumbai-Nashik highway. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, after inspecting all the places where there are potholes or traffic jams, informed the concerned officials to douse these potholes immediately using 'Leo Polymer Technology'.Meanwhile, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde directed the officials concerned to complete the pending work on the Thane-Nashik highway immediately.


Chief Minister Eknath Shinde today inspected the Kharegaon-Padgha, Talwali-Shahapur stretch of the Thane-Nashik highway. The Chief Minister himself went on the road and inspected the work being done to clear the potholes and to see the cause of traffic congestion on the road. He was talking to the media persons on this occasion.


Additional Deputy Commissioner, Suram Chand Sharma; Chief Planning Officer Sukhleen Kour; Assistant Commissioner Development Sidharath Dhiman; Assistant Commissioner (Panchayat) Ashwani Kumar, besides other district and sectoral officers attended the meeting.


Speaking to the media on the occasion, Chief Minister Shinde said that at present, more time is being spent than usual to cross the gap that is Thane-Nashik. The accident took place due to heavy traffic and potholes on the road. Public Works Department, Maharashtra State Road Development Authority, MMRDA, police or concerned departments should hold a meeting and start the movement of heavy vehicles after parking them in the parking lot. Such a plan has been made that heavy vehicles will be released when there is less traffic. Similarly, the Collectors, Commissioners of Police and Superintendents of Police of Raigad, Thane and Palghar districts have been informed about the vehicles coming from JNPT or to make necessary arrangements regarding the vehicles. In the future, a bridge will be built at Khadwali Phata, which will also reduce traffic congestion here.
