The festival of Holi was celebrated joyfully in Mumbai, but a disturbing incident took place in Malad where a minor girl was molested by a 35-year-old man who has since been arrested by the Dindoshi police.
The accused approached the girl to apply color but instead attempted to molest her, leading to a confrontation where the girl bravely resisted his advances. The accused also allegedly assaulted the victim's mother and other family members who tried to intervene.
Following the incident, the victim reported the crime to the police, resulting in the arrest of the accused under charges of molestation, assault, and offenses under the POCSO Act. The community is now on edge due to the tense atmosphere created by this disturbing event.
