Nagpur: 111 Duped of Rs 6 Crore in ISRO, NASA Job Scam; Prime Accused Arrested

Both the accused and the victim are main accused in the case. Police registered a case and arrested the two.

Nagpur: As many as 111 people were allegedly duped of Rs 6 crore by a gang promising them jobs in ISRO and NASA on the pretext of recruiting junior scientists, officers, researchers, clerks and other employees.

Both the accused and the victim are main accused in the case. Police registered a case and arrested the two. The prime accused in the case, Omkar Talmale, has already been arrested. Two other accused have already been arrested.

The accused, Omkar Talmale, had started the racket in the name of providing jobs. His fraud came to light when he was arrested in connection with the murder of two businessmen. The complaint was filed by Ashwin Wankhede (32, Jai Durga Society, Manish Nagar). According to the complaint, Ashwin had taken Rs one lakh from his relative and gave it to Omkar.

Omkar also showed that he was appointed in May 2020 to gain his trust and he also gave him an appointment letter. Omkar gave the money to Ashwin from his bank account for two months, saying that the salary is 50 thousand rupees and there will be less money due to Corona. This convinced Ashwin and he informed other relatives and friends. Omkar then used the same trick for others and 111 people fell into his trap.

A case has been registered at the Vijayanagar Police Station in this regard. After a thorough investigation, the police found that Omkar had taken Rs 5.31 crore. Ashwin and another accused Chetan Bhosale (30, Dattatray Nagar) accepted Rs 2.47 lakh and Rs 1 crore respectively from various people in the name of jobs. Police have arrested both of them. He has been remanded to six-day police custody. Many things will come out in the investigation. The police team which investigated the case comprised of Inspector Yashpal Singh, SI Devendra Kumar, SI Ramesh Chand, SI Rajdeep, SI Reema and constable Pooja.

Omkar Mahendra Talmale, the main accused in the Kondhali double murder case, has been arrested. Calling himself a NASA scientist, he lured 111 unemployed youth to get jobs in NASA. Talmale is accused of defrauding the bank of Rs 5 crore 31 lakh 70 thousand. The police investigation revealed that Omkar was associated with a political party and had given a large amount of money from his own account to the political party as party fund.
