Navi Mumbai: CIDCO takes strict action against unauthorised constructions

The Controller and Unauthorized Construction Department of Cidco Board has launched a crackdown on illegal constructions in Navi Mumbai and Panvel.

Navi Mumbai: After the state government announced its decision to regularize the construction work done by the project victims, the Controller and Unauthorized Construction Department of Cidco Board has started a crackdown on illegal constructions in Navi Mumbai and Panvel.

Following the government's order, CIDCO demolished several structures in Koparkhairane, Belapur, Talavali and Shilottar Raichur (Sukapur) areas of Navi Mumbai in the last two days.

The state government has announced a government decision for the construction work done by the project victims of Panvel and Navi Mumbai till February 25, 2022. Within a month of this decision, by October 23, CIDCO will conduct a survey of 95 villages in Navi Mumbai through Google Images. The construction work will be carried out regularly.

However, some of the projects are currently under construction. The vigilance department of the CIDCO board has been tightening the noose on unauthorised constructions in the last few days. Construction of 190 sq.m. along Sector 4A railway track at Koparkhairane, 145 sq.m. in the same area and extension of flats at Unity Complex, Shilottar Raichur, 300 sq.m. at Sector 29, Belapur Shahbaz village. The officials and workers of CIDCO have demolished the land.
