Shocking Incident in Bhopal Drug Case: Accused Shoots Himself While Entering Police Station

Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh – In a dramatic turn of events, a key suspect in the sensational Rs 1,800 crore drug case has shot himself while attempting to enter a police station in Mandsaur. The injured individual, identified as Premsukh Patidar, reportedly fired the gunshot to evade interrogation by law enforcement authorities. He was promptly rushed to the hospital for medical treatment following the incident. This shocking event comes on the heels of a major operation carried out by the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), which led to the seizure of drugs worth an astounding Rs 1,800 crores from a manufacturing facility in Bhopal.

The operation, executed on October 5, uncovered a significant cache of raw materials and chemicals used for the production of mephedrone, a potent synthetic drug. According to reports from the *Times of India*, the NCB's investigation intensified after the arrest of Harish Anjuna, who implicated Patidar during questioning. Anjuna confessed to sourcing essential drug-making materials from Maharashtra and chemicals from Valsad in Gujarat, naming Patidar as his primary supplier in the illicit drug trade. After learning that Premsukh Patidar had been evading authorities, the NCB launched a search for him.

However, on Friday, the situation took a perilous turn when Patidar entered the Mandsaur police station and, in a desperate act, shot himself in the leg. Mandsaur Superintendent of Police Abhishek Anand confirmed that Patidar's condition is now stable, and he is expected to be interrogated once he is discharged from the hospital. The NCB's raid in the industrial area of Bagroda village, which falls under the jurisdiction of Katara Hills police station, marked a significant blow to drug manufacturing operations in the region.

As law enforcement agencies continue to unravel the complexities of this extensive drug network, the shocking incident of self-inflicted injury raises questions about the desperate lengths individuals may go to avoid justice. Authorities remain vigilant as the investigation unfolds, and more information is expected to emerge from the interrogation of Patidar once he is medically cleared.
