British tourists rescued a group of fellow travelers when their car broke down in a safari park surrounded by lions. Richard Sandiland, from Rowley Regis, West Midlands, was visiting Kruger National Park, South Africa, when he used his car to shield the stranded vehicle from the hungry big cats. South African motorists came to the rescue by using jump cables to restart the car. In a tense moment captured on video, one of the trapped travelers expressed fear of becoming prey for the oncoming lions. Richard described the predators as potentially attacking within seconds. Working together, two groups of tourists successfully got the stranded car back on the move.
