The twin-engine Lockheed 12A crashed west of the Chino Airport in San Bernardino County at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Officials reported that the plane caught fire upon impact. The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed the incident. Chino Valley Fire District Battalion Chief Brian Turner mentioned that firefighters extinguished the fire within 10 minutes and discovered two casualties in the aircraft.

The identities of the deceased individuals have not been disclosed as of Sunday afternoon. Turner, as cited by the Southern California News Group, characterized the aircraft as old and historic. Reports indicate that the aircraft was owned by the 'Yanks Air Museum'.

The air museum stated on Facebook, "Currently, we are collaborating with local authorities and the Federal Aviation Administration on this matter." The 'Yanks Air Museum' will remain closed until further notice while our family copes with this situation.
