The semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2024 are scheduled to take place on 27 June. Afghanistan will go up against South Africa in the initial semi-final match. The game will take place in Trinidad. Simultaneously, Team India will confront defending champions England in the second semi-final. The game is scheduled to take place in Guyana.

During the pre-match press conference, team captain Rohit Sharma expressed that his team's primary goal is to remain composed and stick to a straightforward approach for the pressure-filled T20 World Cup semi-final versus England. Simultaneously, he acknowledged that the team has previously faced fear of failure. Rohit discussed the possibility of using four spinners in the game as well.

The Indian team will face England in retaliation for the devastating 10-wicket loss in the 2022 semi-final at the Adelaide Oval. When questioned if fear of failure or bad luck had caused his team to lose in past world title attempts, Rohit responded, 'It was a combination of both.'

He stated, 'We aim to approach it in the same way as a regular game.' We prefer not to discuss it being a semi-final. We are having a great time together and we need to keep it going. It's a match where only one team will advance. Overthinking doesn't lead to any benefits. The cricketer, aged 37 and hailing from Mumbai, mentioned that he anticipates his fellow players to demonstrate intelligent gameplay during Thursday's match.

Rohit stated that there hasn't been many changes since 2022. We have made an effort to approach T20s and ODIs with a receptive mindset. Everything hinges on the challenging conditions that were present throughout the tournament. We aim to be a rational cricket team. I have made things easy for myself and the players too. We have successfully established clear roles and responsibilities.
