The Indian High Commission in Kenya issued a warning on Tuesday for Indian nationals to be extremely cautious due to the current tense situation caused by violent protests in the country.

Following the passing of a controversial bill to increase taxes, Nairobi and other cities in Kenya experienced violent clashes and demonstrations. The High Commission advised all Indians in Kenya to exercise caution, limit unnecessary movement, and steer clear of areas affected by the protests and violence until the situation improves. An estimated 20,000 Indians are residing in Kenya at present.
