Indian man arrested for murder after New Jersey shooting

The Democracy News :- A 19-year-old man of Indian descent fired shots at individuals outside a residential building in Carteret, New Jersey. An Indian woman was killed, and another was seriously injured in the shooting. Gaurav Gill, from Kent, Washington, has been taken into custody in connection with the murder of 29-year-old Jasveer Kaur. Jasveer Kaur passed away at the hospital, while the other victim, 20-year-old Gagandeep Kaur, remains in critical condition at Newark University Hospital.

The incident occurred on Wednesday morning, and the perpetrator was apprehended shortly after. Accused Gaurav Gill and injured woman Gagandeep Kaur were acquainted and attended an IELTS coaching center in Nakodar, Punjab. The deceased Jasveer Kaur was from Gorsian near the small town of Noormahal in Punjab and was hosting her cousin Gagandeep at her residence when the event unfolded on Wednesday morning.

Jasveer Kaur was employed at an Amazon facility in Carteret, New Jersey. New Jersey, her husband, a truck driver, was away at the time of the incident. The parents of Jasveer and Gagandeep are small-scale farmers. Jasveer's father, Kewal Singh, mentioned that his daughter was very supportive, much like her husband, and had moved to America about five years ago.
