The whole world is in shock due to the sudden demise of Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi. There is a wave of mourning in Iran. Thousands of people appeared on the streets on Tuesday for the funeral of their President and his party members.

Teary-eyed people waved Iranian flags and photos of the late president as they marched through the central square of the north western city of Tabriz.

Let us tell you, Iranian President Raisi was returning from East Azerbaijan on Sunday. Then the accident occurred near the border city of Jolfa in Azerbaijan. Everyone was confirmed dead on Monday. Today national mourning is being observed in India.

Nine people, including Iranian President Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, East Azerbaijan Governor Malek Rahmati, died in the helicopter crash. Five days of national mourning is being observed in Iran.
