PM Modi lauds Indian cricket team for T20 World Cup win

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a phone conversation with the Indian cricket team on Sunday to praise them for their T20 World Cup victory.

Officials stated that Modi praised Rohit Sharma for his excellent leadership as captain and acknowledged his accomplishments in his T20 career. He also praised Virat Kohli for his performance in the final match, in addition to his overall impact on Indian cricket.

Both legends confirmed they will no longer be playing T20 internationals after their victory.

Modi commended Hardik Pandya for his last over and Suryakumar Yadav for his excellent catch at the boundary to get David Miller out. The officials also praised Jaspreet Bumrah's significant contribution.

The prime minister expressed gratitude to coach Rahul Dravid for his efforts in Indian cricket.
