Twenty individuals who were on board a Singapore Airlines flight that experienced severe turbulence and made an emergency landing in Bangkok are currently in intensive care, as confirmed by a hospital official on Thursday. Among the 40 individuals still receiving medical attention, 22 are being treated for spinal cord injuries, while six are receiving care for brain and skull injuries, according to Adinun Kittiratanapaibool, the Director of Bangkok's Samitivej Srinakarin Hospital.
Adinun initially stated that 41 individuals were still under medical care but later clarified that one person had been discharged. Tragically, one passenger passed away due to a suspected heart attack, and numerous others sustained injuries when Singapore Airlines flight SQ321 encountered sudden and severe turbulence while flying over Myanmar on Tuesday.
