In Washington, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced a new investigation on Monday regarding the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. This decision was made after Boeing informed the regulator that it may have overlooked necessary inspections.

The FAA is looking into whether Boeing conducted the required inspections to ensure sufficient bonding and grounding at the connection points of the wings and fuselage in specific 787 Dreamliner aircraft. Additionally, the FAA stated that Boeing is currently re-examining all 787 airplanes that are still in the production pipeline. Boeing is also mandated to develop a strategy to rectify issues within the existing fleet.
