10th, 12th exams to be held soon; State Board likely to announce dates

Pune: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has announced the timetable for SSC and HSC examinations. The exam is scheduled to be held from February 11 to March 18 and from February 21 to March 17. The last date to apply for the exam is August 23 this year.
State Board Secretary Anuradha Oak released the tentative schedule through a press release. The class 10th and 12th exams are conducted by nine divisional boards. As per the schedule, the Class 12 exams will begin in the third week of February and Class 10 exams in the first week of March. The results of class 12th will be declared by the end of May and class 10th by the first week of June. The supplementary exams for the students who have failed, the improvement exams begin in the third week of July. In order to ensure that the process of the next academic year is completed on time, students get enough time to study for entrance exams for professional courses, supplementary exams are conducted early and the results are announced, the state board has now planned to conduct the exams early by changing the prevailing schedule for years. State Board President Sharad Gosavi had also suggested these changes at the time of the 10th class results this year.


As per the tentative schedule announced by the state board, the Class 12 oral, practical, internal assessment exams will be held from January 24 to February 10, while the written exams will be held from February 11 to March 18. The 10th class oral, practical, internal assessment exams are scheduled to be held from February 3 to 20 and the written exams from February 21 to March 17. Possible dates have been announced for schools-junior colleges, students to plan the curriculum, to reduce the stress on the minds of the students. The detailed schedule will be released separately on the website of the state board.
