Thane: A 13-year-old boy was allegedly kidnapped and murdered in Bhiwandi for Rs 100 and a mobile phone. A case has been registered at the Padgha police station and the police have arrested Nitin Waghe (40), Padmakar Bhoir (20) and Ajay Manje (21).

Vinod was a resident of Hariacha Pada area in Bhiwandi. He was a student of Class IX at a government school in Shahpur. After his father's death, his mother remarried. So, his family sent him to school. A few months ago, his mother had given him a mobile phone worth Rs 15,000. Since it was the festival of Raksha Bandhan, he had come to stay with his uncle. On August 18, he was asked by his uncle to bring materials from the market by paying Rs 100 for the purchase. The next day, when his uncle asked him about the ashram school, he did not return to the ashram school either. On August 21, his uncle lodged a missing complaint at the Padgha police station.

A man was found riding a motorcycle at the time. Based on the registration number of the two-wheeler, the police identified the person as Nitin Waghe. He was arrested by the police on August 24. During interrogation, he confessed that he killed her with the help of two others. The police have arrested two of his accomplices, identified as Padmakar and Ajay, in this connection. All three have been arrested by the police. After the murder, they had dumped Vinod's body in a Malrana in Wada. His body was found by police.



Mobile and Rs.100.
Vinod had gone to the market with the mobile. To go to the market, Vinod stopped Nitin's bike and requested him to leave it in the market. But he took her to the bar. There, Nitin and his accomplices strangled him to death. His body was then thrown in the drain. They also took away his mobile phone and Rs 100 from him.
