Pimpri : A business competition dispute led to one businessman shooting another businessman in Pimpri. A young person was injured, and the shooter's friend was also seriously hurt. The incident occurred on Sunday (12th) around 6:30 pm in the Jadhavwadi Chikhali area. The victim, identified as Ajay Sunil Phule (19 years old, residing in Mohannagar, Chinchwad), was shot. Harshal Bansi Sonawane (located in Jadhavwadi, Chikhali), Shyam Chaudhary, and Keerthikumar Bhiulal Lilare have been charged at Chikhali Police Station under IPC 307, 323, 504, 34 of the Maharashtra Police Act, and Arms Act.

Keerthikumar Lilare sustained severe injuries to the neck and is receiving medical treatment. Ajay works as a gas grate repairer, while Harshal Sonawane also operates a similar business. The competition between Ajay and Harshal led to ongoing disputes. In a planned move, Harshal conspired with Sham Chaudhary and Lilare. During a discussion in Pantnagar, Harshal shot three bullets at Ajay, injuring him and Lilare.

Sham Chaudhary was arrested by the Crime Branch Unit One team. The main suspect, Harshal Sonwane, fled the scene, but he was apprehended in Nanekarwadi after a police chase. The incident, occurring just before the upcoming elections in Pune City, Shirur, and part of Maval, sparked interest in the city.

However, the police investigation confirmed that the shooting was unrelated to any political party. Commissioner of Police Vinay Kumar Choubey, along with other police officials and personnel, oversaw the investigation and arrests related to the crime.
