In Mumbai, a naval officer is under investigation for unauthorized credit card transactions made abroad. The Cuffe Parade Police suspect that the transactions were carried out by hacking the complainant's mobile phone. The 39-year-old complainant, a Naval Trial Officer living in the Cuffe Parade area, reported unauthorized transactions on his credit card issued by a private bank.

Despite not sharing his card information, he received notifications of purchases made in US Dollars on May 21. The bank confirmed a transaction of approximately Rs. 46,000, prompting the complainant to request a temporary freeze on his card.

Following the incident, he contacted the cyber helpline and filed a complaint with the Cuffe Parade Police, indicating a possible breach of his mobile phone. Further investigation is ongoing.
