Delhi Police's Shahdara district police has traced 126 children in an inter-state operation in the last four months. Some of these children had been missing for six or seven years and were reported missing in various police stations.

As soon as he took charge of Shahdara district, Deputy Commissioner of Police Surendra Chaudhary decided to return the happiness to the victim families.

A police team comprising ASI Parmanand, Havildar Arun, Nirdesh, Rajdeep and others, under the supervision of AHTU in-charge of the district Suren Sharma, carried out the inter-state operation across the country. Under this campaign, a total of 126 missing children, persons have been traced from across the country from January 15 to May 15.

He said 11 children were traced from UP, one each from Haryana, Bihar, Telangana, Jharkhand, Jammu and Kashmir and Rajasthan. The rest of the missing children were found in Delhi-NCR.
