In Bengaluru, a 30-year-old Kashmiri employee of the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) was detained for allegedly making supportive comments about Pakistan over India on X platform. The individual, identified as Faheem Firdous Qureshi, hails from Kashmir and obtained his degrees from institutions in Kashmir and Bangalore.

The Bangalore police have filed charges against Qureshi under IPC sections 505 (Statements leading to public mischief) and 153B (Assertions prejudicial to national integration). Qureshi was presented before court and subsequently remanded to police custody for two days.
