National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers of Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) College of Engineering organised a special programme at Katraj police station on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan festival. Under this initiative, 20 volunteers tied rakhis to more than 50 police personnel and wished them on Raksha Bandhan and expressed gratitude for their relentless service.(Raksha Bandhan)

Dr. Amol Kadam, Shri. Prashant Yadav, Shri. College of Engineering and Technology Principal Dr. P.S. Vidula Sohoni, vice-principal Dr Sachin Chavan and Dr Sunita Jadhav provided valuable support and guidance. Senior officer of Katraj police station Dashrath Patil praised the students for their social service.


The volunteers expressed their awareness that the work done by the police for the society through this festival is unparalleled. The police appreciated the gesture of the students. This has further strengthened the bond between the students and the police.
