Arun Shahpur, a BJP leader, claimed on Tuesday that the education system has deteriorated since the Congress took power in the state last year. He urged School Education Minister S.Madhu Bangarappa to step down from his position due to what he described as his "unscientific decisions" harming the current educational system.
Speaking to the press, Shahpur noted that one crore children are enrolled in schools, with nine lakh students taking the SSLC exams. He expressed concerns that the new examination system has increased stress and pressure on students and parents. Shahpur questioned the need for conducting the SSLC exams three times, citing escalating costs and additional burdens on parents.
