New Delhi : The week-long campaign in Delhi wrapped up on Thursday, with Delhi residents set to cast their votes for seven seats in the capital on Saturday, May 25, in the sixth phase of polling. The BJP secured all Delhi seats in both 2014 and 2019. While the BJP anticipates a third win in Delhi, the AAP and Congress alliance poses a challenge. In the final four days of campaigning, BJP Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers conducted roadshows in Delhi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held two campaign meetings, and other leaders organized street processions. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal primarily led roadshows for the Congress-AAP alliance. Rahul Gandhi also held two roadshows and campaign meetings for Congress on Thursday. Amid national issues such as Modi's leadership and the country's global standing, concerns were raised about the BJP's stance on income tax matters, particularly tax incentives for the affluent. Consequently, it was evident that high-income taxpayers anticipate financial perks from the BJP.

While tax benefits have been extended to the middle and upper-middle classes, heightened attention is now being given to elite taxpayers. Fadnavis emphasized the importance of addressing the concerns of elite taxpayers. Response to Kejriwal's Arrest Kejriwal's arrest in a liquor scandal case evoked sympathy among Delhi residents, which AAP sought to leverage.

Following his release on bail, AAP initiated the 'Jail Ka Jawab Vote Se' campaign across Delhi. Leaders such as Sanjay Singh and Atishi engaged with AAP supporters at their homes. In contrast, BJP aggressively campaigned against AAP's alleged corruption. Fadnavis Engages with Delhi's Elite Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis campaigned in Delhi for two consecutive days. Fadnavis conducted campaign meetings in the North-East Delhi, East Delhi, and Chandni Chowk constituencies, engaging with the business community in these areas.

Fadnavis also interacted with intellectuals, traders, professionals, and representatives from various organizations in the elite New Delhi constituency at a restaurant in Connaught Place. Delhi's Impact on National Politics Delhi residents believe that the party in control of Delhi wields influence at the national level.

The BJP urged Delhi voters to support Modi if they wish to see him become Prime Minister for a third term. Fadnavis, during a special dialogue program, expressed confidence that Delhiites who voted for Modi in 2014 and 2019 would do so again. Other BJP leaders also encouraged voters to elect Modi as Prime Minister.
