Borivali police arrested Binang Vyas (32yrs) for absconding with approximately fifty-six lakh rupees worth of foreign currency. Vyas fled with US dollars under the guise of a cash delivery. Following the registration of a fraud case, the police promptly apprehended him. The complainant, Kishore Kolchand Bhandari, a resident of the Goregaon area, lives with his elderly parents, wife, and two children. He operates a bullion shop named Arihant in Goregaon.

On May 23rd, an individual identifying himself as Karan Patel contacted Bhandari urgently requesting US dollars and asked him to bring the currency to Borivali. The next day, Bhandari dispatched his staff to Utsav Kumar Limba's apartment at Shimpoli Road, Gautam Nagar in Borivali, as instructed by Patel.

Upon arrival, Utsav Kumar handed over US$ 6800 to Patel, who promised to return with five lakh rupees in cash. However, Patel failed to reappear with the money, prompting Utsav Kumar to inquire about Patel's identity from the society residents. Subsequently, CCTV footage analysis exposed Vyas's complicity in the scam, leading to his arrest.
