A penalty of Rs 9.67 crore has been imposed on Jitendra Sonigara, a partner of Grow India Residency, for illegal mining of ore for the Sonigara The Mark project in Chinchwad. Pimpri-Chinchwad's Additional Tehsildar Jairaj Deshmukh has issued an order in this regard.
Exact calculation was done by ETS from Tehsil office. It has been found that the company has illegally mined 19 thousand 360.765 brass, clay, murum and other minor minerals.
