Neetu, a resident of Buxar district in Bihar, and Pankaj, a resident of Arrah district, met each other while working at a mall. Later their friendship turned into love. He was preparing for the Bihar Police Constable Exam. She was successful in 2015. After becoming a constable, Neetu married Pankaj in January 2019. The couple had 2 children. Initially, Neetu's posting was at Navgachia. He was then transferred to the Bhagalpur SSP office.
A fight broke out between Pankaj and Neetu over an illicit affair. Pankaj felt that Neetu was having an affair with another man. This started a dispute between them. The man allegedly committed the crime over suspicion of an illicit relationship with his wife. In the suicide note, Pankaj confessed to killing his wife, 2 children and mother-in-law before committing suicide. Police have registered a case in this regard and have started investigations.
